Are you interested in being considered for a masterclass with Dr. Creviston from Arizona State University? If so, please read the following guidelines and fill out the application below. Application opens January 13th 2025 and will close on February 15th at 11:59pm. Chosen applicants will be announced on February 21st.

Requirements:

- You must be a saxophonist 18 or under and currently enrolled in high school or junior high.

- Application fee is $25

- You may apply as a soloist, as a group (3-6 people) or in both categories. A separate application is needed for each soloist/group.

- Masterclass takes place in person on Saturday, March 8th at Lone Star Montgomery in Conroe, TX.

- Application has a video component that must be submitted at the same time.

- There are a total of 4 spots available (2 for quartets/groups & 2 for soloists)

Video Pre-Screen Guidelines:

- Video must be taken from a single, front facing angle

- 5-10 minutes in length

- At the beginning of your video, please state your name, the title of the works you will be playing and if you will be playing an excerpt or the work in its entirety. 

- Overdubs or added reverb is not allowed.

- Each work, movement, or excerpt must be done in one take. Please do not cut and paste separate takes of the same piece to make one. 

- You may play any standard repertoire for your pre-screen. Please, no all-state etudes.

- Transcriptions are allowed. 

- You may play accompanied or unaccompanied

- You may play a complete work (time allowing), movement of a work, or an excerpt from a movement or complete work. 

- Time allowing, you may play more than one piece/excerpt.

- If chosen for the masterclass, you may choose to play the same work(s) as your pre-screen or something else entirely.

- You will need an original score for what you choose to play in the live masterclass.
